The Comets
wilted in the afternoon heat as two hits and two RBI from Greg Bashaw couldn't
put enough runs on the board for the win. The Comets now face elimination.

The "D"
let the good guys down as Jimmy Jackson held some powerful bats silent
through six innings of work. Newcomer Liam Braber kept the league
leaders quiet while on the hill in relief, but the five unearned runs were
killers and the bats were quiet in the Comets' sixth straight loss.
On a lighter side, the Comets' kiddies came out to celebrate Fathers' Day
-- see pictures below.
