Our concern for colleagues in distress finds expression in two special programs.
The Mark Kac Memorial Fund supports memberships in the American Physical Society and sponsors subscriptions to its journals for needy colleagues in Belarus, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine.
The Program for Refugee Scientists helps colleagues who have immigrated to the United States by defraying some of the costs of their job searches and facilitating their making professional contacts.
