FATHER DIVINE'S Crusaders.
These "Lights" were presented on Crusaders Day, June 16, 1996, at Woodmont. They are:
1. If you fulfill the Law of Love and unselfishness, you fulfill the whole Law. Get away from yourself!
2. Little words of kindness and little deeds of Love these should be your watchwords.
3. If there is space in your mentality for criticism, even of the least person, without cause, you are destroying your own soul.
4. When you learn that all men are your brethren and all mankind your relatives, you come in such a close relationship that you think for the common good of all mankind.
5. Give to the world the best you have, and the best will come back to you. Give out! Give out!
6." Serve others as you wish to be served. Do to others as you wish to be done to. Speak to others as you wish to be spoken to." The Law of the New Gospel.
7. Live the Life of CHRIST, and be conscientious, sincere and true, and the Spirit of CHRIST will tell you exactly what to do.
8. Be useful, not useless, but use-full, full of uses, to be actively essential and necessary.
9. Express your thoughts in actions and in deeds with the spirit of sincerity. Be conscientious in your very spoken word. Be sincere.
10. It is good to be meek and lowly. It is good to be self denied. It is good to be a living sacrifice, and especially to be open to and for any good idea and opinion that may come from another.
11. Constructive criticism is essential for the advancement of the people. You should rejoice in being criticized, so that you might realize your shortcomings and lack of perfection.
12. The average self exalted person who feels he or she is not going to be taught, or bossed, or led, or controlled, has no right whatsoever to control others. How can you be a master unless you are willing to be mastered?
13. When you think you know, your knowledge puffs you up and prevents you from having the faith you should have. If you know definitely and see definitely, how can you have faith?
